    Yes, it’s still you’re home. It’s your name on the mortgage
    I own several places and take deductions on every little thing I do, even the mileage to go to the property to check on things

    Yes…. I say Yes. You may claim your home mortgage intrest and the taxes also.
    When you rent, your landlord still clams all the intrest and taxes on the property, while you were making his payment.
