If a person is receiving social security benefits due to their spouse being deceased and they remarry then they will stop getting the benefits. That is why sometimes they will not remarry. They cannot just say that they are living with a person if they are in fact married to the new person. They will get caught when they turn in their papers to change their name to the new married name with social security,
