  1. Pied Hussein Piper says:

    No.

He should be in jail. Along with others.

  2. Holy Cow says:

No, but I liked the one from Bush.

    4. “The market is in the process of correcting itself.” — President George W. Bush, in a Mar. 14, 2008 speech

  3. Lurch says:

Check out this classic from The Factor where Mr. O’Reilly explains to Frank what a tremendous failure he is:

Take special note that Frank refuses to accept any responsibility.

As you can see from two of the previous posters they will never acknowledge Frank’s failure either.

  4. RomeyM says:

He’s a democrat so of course he got it right.

  5. Gone to the Dogs says:

Members of both parties were well aware of the impending crash of Fannie & Freddie. They held closed-door congressional meetings in March and April 2008, and were advised of the problem, yet they all stood back and let it happen. Only Ron Paul tried to blow the whistle on all of it, and was immediately labeled a nut.

There is plenty of blame to go around, and if you do a little research, you’ll see that the economic crash was pre-orchestrated to coincide with the election.

  6. Thomas SR says:

What Barney Fudd meant to say was that HIS WALLET was fundamentally sound. These elitist Dems couldn’t care less about what happened to everybody else’s money.

  7. IceT says:

No in fact he is so far off base it is funny! The Democrat party helped this to happen, profited from it, and protected it two years ago when Republicans tried to do something about it.

Chris Dodd (D) is the chairman of the committee that regulates and oversees Fannie and Freddie was was the number one receipient of campaign contributions from Fannie and Freddie. Obama was the number two recepient of campaign contributions from Fannie and Freddie with Kerry being number three.

Isn’t interesting that the Democrats have not whined like the usually do about an investigation. That should tell you who is responsible for the mess because if a Republican could be blamed they would be all over it.

  8. Jacob W says:

Democrats and their supporters will never ever admit to failure. You, naturally are getting answers from them like, “but Bush said…” or “Both parties do it..” etc. The reality is Barney Frank in the House and Chris Dodd in the Senate are directly responsible for the lack of oversight and even from deliberate wrong doing. But, just like Charlie Rangle, Bill Clinton or Blogo in Illinois, they will never admit it nor ever have the character to simply resign.

They will outlast the public outrage and figure the public can just get over it. In places like Blue States, this is too often correct.
