since you had not agreed on the actual % you had no partnership.
profits are divided by agreement at a certain %. my opinion is you owe the partner 50% of any profit even if he lives in a tree.
if it were turned around he would pay you the 3,000 and you would still only get 1,000. but i see where your coming from and honestly i agree with you on a different percentage.
The standard of living in different countries is not your resposibility. Divide the money in such a way that each party receives the same amount. If it’s three pesos to the dollar let’s say, give three pesos worth of money to one and a dollar to the other.
