Invest in education like computer . This is the knowledge economy age so mony and power are in the hands of knowledge workers.
Invest in something real commodities like gold, silver, farming land – precious and scarce.

There is an algae (forgot its name) which is supposed to be complete food. Develop a taste for it
I do not see the end of the world but I do see hard times coming. Investments should be in the simple things that you require first. Housing, food, transportation. In other words pay off your bills and make sure you have what you need. Dump the credit cards and buy what you can afford to buy.
So many jobs have gone overseas that it’s become very hard to get good employment anymore. I do not expect that to improve any time soon. Considering that most items are now made outside the US because it’s so much cheaper more jobs are going down the drain every month.
Survival food? We have a three month supply at all times mostly due to our location and weather problems. If you are going to store foods then store what you like to eat. I’ve seen lots of those ‘survival foods’ sold online. I’ve also tasted some of it. Half of it I hate and wouldn’t eat if you gave it to me.

It is also true of most can goods made by most companies. All the same I suggest you set up a simple rotation system and eat what you buy. Our supply is always fresh and replaced as it is eaten.
