    No, but if you take the standard deduction, be sure to add the allowable amount for your real estate taxes paid – see schedule L.

    Based on the information you provided, Schedule A will give you no benefit and you should claim the standard deduction. If you paid any real estate taxes during the year, you can file Schedule L to increase your standard deduction.
