Only if you are a tea bagger trying to keep membership up.

  2. Andy says:

Education is a great thing. You can be educated in many things, so just because you are a biologist doesn’t make you an expert on the economy.

We need to realize principles, not papers with words.

  3. d'nyer says:

You mean Harvard and Yale? Shut ‘em down.

  4. Buster Hymen says:

Yes. Education is a terrible thing.

  5. Terran says:

You’re right, we should make it illegal to get an education (sarcasm intended). In order to work as a congressman, a college degree is more or less required. You also can’t be successful in the financial, mortgage, and loan industries without a decent education.

  6. hj8228 says:

Are you trying to say that you want people with only a high school diploma designing bridges and managing your finances?

It doesn’t surprise me to see something like this on Y/A. I think it is impossible to determine a stance on political issues without at least taking an economics class, unless you do extensive research on your own.

  7. Sky says:

The only thing that scares the uneducated these days is three words: “High-school diploma”.

  8. Blunts Since Thirteen says:

For the most part it requires an education to be successful in the financial industry and government.

  9. Wooglet Voot says:

Maybe we should have literacy tests.

  10. forgive my grammer says:

  11. * says:

No. We should be wary of the uneducated who allow those people to retain their power and control over us.

  12. Evolve or become extinct says:

Broad generalizations are not the answer.

  13. Obama gunna pay for my gas and morgage! says:

This is outlined in “Intellectuals and Society” by Thomas Sowell. The problem isn’t that they’re educated, it’s that Americans believe that just because someone got a Master’s in physics, that that someone suddenly can run economics.

  14. huh says:

perfect solution for america…lets make our people even dumber than they are

  15. realcheeseandhappycows says:

Oh, education is a horrible thing. You know. Ignore the fact that a majority of crimes occur in low-education areas. And that educated people are better prepared for the world, which is why they have these positions in the first place.

  16. Sean says:

‘Education is no substitute for intelligence.’

  17. Mujer Alta says:

Wow! Let’s create a new group to hate and blame for our problems. While the rest of the world is outpacing us in just about every way, let’s just forget about education and retire to our caves to beat the fleas out of the skins we wear. btw, you forgot that the educated are also over-represented in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, forestry, sewage treatment plant operations, city planning, the nuclear power industry, weapons development, etc. Good Lord! Some jobs just require more education …or would you rather they didn’t?

  18. Joe Clark says:

They would have realized this if they were educated
