Call a company that specializes in mortgages ( http://www.quickenloans.com/ – for example ). As longas it is you initiating everything you are good. some sucker telling you that they charge x upfront and x at closes is only out to rob you.
try to refinance the note now on your own with the local mortgage broker. If that does not work then yes call the lender and they will send you the paper work
She can’t do anything you can’t do yourself. Some banks are very open to modification…some are not…all you can do is call the loss mitigation department and ask..the $8 an hour customer service people are not going to be able to help you.
NO dont ever give anyone money upfront ITS A SCAM call your lender they will do the modifcation if not call hope for homeowners they will help you modify your mortg and help you with your lender AT NO FEE. 1-888-995-4673 good luck.
Loan modification company’s reputations definitely have been getting a bad wrap and there are people out there who are indeed ripping people off which is awful. In your case there are some red flags here. No attorney or loan modification company can promise any result like lowering your rate. Obviously the upfront fee is another red flag. You should get pre qualified based on your financial information and additional questions like bankruptcy or if you have recently had a modification. Also do they give a money back guarantee if they cant get a modification or workout plan? You can do it on your own but it can be helpful to have someone do the paperwork and negotiating on your behalf. The loan modification process is long and time consuming. The banks will modify working directly with the borrower but there intentions are to get the loan current first before lowering your monthly payment. Personally I think the fee there charging you is pretty high.
I would totally ignore that crap.

legit refinancers don’t contact you out of the blue. it’s up to you to shop around and try to refinance your mortgage.
It is just like anything else … a teaser. You can do it on your own, and I recommend you do. Then put your phone number on the NO CALL list.
Nope…you got a classic telemarketing call.
