   Competitive rates, costs, quick turn-around time, no up-front fees, Name recognition, a web-page to solidify the legitimacy of the company, State license information in larger then normal print.

   These are just some basics, but in this day and age, when brokers are being blamed for the mortgage crisis, legitimacy and cost are the biggest factors. I certainly don’t want a fly-by-night operation to have sensitive information like my drivers license and social security card at their disposal.
