With socialism we are going to lose our freedom and freedom of speech, higher taxes, stagnant economy for a long long time (think Europe), high unemployment, corporations will go abroad, foreign investors will go elsewhere….

Did you listen to any news this morning?
Did you hear Harry Reid say “No one knows what to do”?…Big surprise from the Dem congress who have done NOTHING up to this point, but I guess ol’ Harry at least explained WHY…Apparently (according to him) they don’t KNOW what to do…
“Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid — who also complained that he didn’t know a bailout of AIG was in the works — said Congress won’t change laws immediately to address the rapidly unfolding financial crisis because “no one knows what to do.”"
Reid and Pelosi sitting there on Capitol Hill saying they don’t even know what the hell is going on, and didn’t know that another bailout was coming…What the hell ARE they doing up there?
Then while McCain is trying to figure out how to fix this mess (since they didn’t listen to him when he told them how to AVOID it in the first place, 3 years ago), and suggesting that we set up a committee to work on this one thing specifically and immediately, while Obama is bashing McCain and criticizing his suggestion of a committee (when Obama has set up several committees to do NOTHING himself over the years!)…And oddly enough, Obama did nothing this morning EXCEPT bash McCain and Republicans, now I ask you, how is THAT going to help fix this mess?…Maybe someone should nudge him and tell him that we need to focus on this FIRST then complain and criticize AFTER he has offered some solutions or at LEAST some suggestions
I have always thought Obama wasn’t so bad (even though I wouldn’t vote for him because we have many opposing views), you know, just a guy running for president, trying to do his thing, but this week…THIS WEEK, and especially this morning, I have seen a whole new Obama, and it’s ‘change’ that is NOT good for our country.
Because Barney Frank is expected to fail. Besides, haven’t you heard, everything is George Bush’s fault.
This is the problem with an entrenched two party system, members of Congress tend to automatically reject bills that are developed by members of the other party.
Wikipedia is not exactly the best source. But I have also heard that Barney Frank is the center of this financial storm we are in right now.
And there should be more outrage.
But the media liberal so “a Republican must be to blame.”
that was five years ago, well before the housing bubble over inflated prices, well before the bubble inflated the size of both financial institutions
not to mention that some of the real causes lie at the feet of the licensing of the loan processor who encouraged people to lie on application making it appear that they could afford a loan when they actually didn’t have the income to handle the mortgage payment. and that my friend needed to be regulated at state level to keep con men out of those jobs.
